Lead Cllinical Physiotherapist
As both a state and national competitive rower, Alex’s passion stems from her extensive understanding of athlete management and injury prevention.
With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia, Alex is an experienced musculoskeletal, manual physiotherapist who loves helping clients work towards their health goals. She holds a deep understanding of the importance of a healthy relationship with exercise and the need to maintain a healthy life balance.
Alex has a special interest in treating pelvic pain, lumbo-pelvic rehabilitation and ‘weekend warrior’ injuries. Correction of movement dysfunction is a key part of supporting her patients to resolve pain. Strength and conditioning throughout all life stages, from adolescence to postnatal through to the senior years, has an important place in Alex’s approach to staying fit and healthy. A believer in not just treating injuries directly, Alex enjoys empowering her clients with the knowledge and strategies to help prevent injuries and speed up their own recovery. As an exceptional rower, Alex conducts rowing analysis and injury management for competitive or recreational rowers to help them improve their techniques and prevent injury.
Always eager to learn more, Alex enjoys undertaking regular professional development. This has led to further qualifications in pelvic girdle assessment and treatment, clinical Pilates, strength & conditioning, dry needling and occupational work health and safety including an understanding of the South Australian return to work system. Alex is also currently undertaking ongoing training in women’s health through the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
When not in the clinic, Alex enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing on the Murray River with a Pinot and cheese board!
Alex also offers Running Assessments and FREE fittings of the SRC Recovery Shorts that support women in recovery from pregnancy and birth.
