Hailing from South Australia, Monique completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia, graduating in 2016. She received First Class Honours for her research in the area of pain science, specialising in tendon injuries. Currently working her way through a PhD in pain science at the University of South Australia, Monique’s passion for physiotherapy sees her treating a wide range of patients to keep them moving every day.
Sport runs through Monique’s veins! With four years’ experience working as a sports trainer and then a physiotherapist for a football club, and a background as a tennis coach, she understands the importance of preventing and treating sporting injuries. She is trained in the Netball Knee program for injury prevention, Advanced Explain Pain training with the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute, Return to Work SAW Physiotherapy Partnership Program and the internationally renowned GLA:D program for hip, knee and osteoarthritis. Whilst she loves the diversity of the job, Monique is especially interested in the assessment and treatment of neck and back pain, hip and knee osteoarthritis, vertigo and pregnancy and post-natal concerns. She also offers dry needling to her patients. Monique is an integral part of the Aspire team and believes in helping each patient get the most out of every day.
A keen renovator in her spare time, Monique can also be found cooking up a storm for her dinner party guests.
